rody i have a 3 port x12 with a worn p/s, if i put a 5 port p/s in there will it work well, since the case and timing is for a 3 port, also what is the max wear on the crank pin before the crank is bad.thank you and have a nice day

Yes, this is possible but will not work as well as with the engine wich contains this piston/sleeve originally. As for the crankpin of these engines, try not to go lower then 4.24mm
