Hi Folks, I am a proud new owner of a V12 Rody and I have a couple of questions about the "Break-In" procedures. What is written on the message boards seems far different than that of the Owners Manual.
1. Should you "break-In" the motor with the Venturi valve?
2. If I read the forum correctly...on "Break-In" you are supposed to Run Throttle Wide Open for several tanks adjusting the High Needle to VERY RICH?
3. What is the ideal running Temparature during the Break-In period?
4. What is the ideal running temparature post Break-In?
5. What are the effects of not using the Venturi?
6. What is the ideal carb settings for the V12 5 Port Rody?
Any help you can give this RB Virgin is appreciated.

1) Yes 2) I suggest you follow the instructions supplied with the engines, the other methods described in this forum are possible suggestions from other users but this is not what we suggest in our instructions. 3) Just run the engine rich, around 160F 4) When the engine is run-in, try not to exceed 210F but this can vary depending on the outside temperatures, fuel and type of temp. gun you are working with. 5) More power but also more fuelconsumption. 6) Depends on to many factors but if you stick to the procedure explained in our instructions you should be close. However there are also some topics about the engine settings in this forum.
