Topic: need a .12 engine 1/10 on road

hi guys. i am looking for my first 1/10 scale on road engine.
i was looking at the v12. i am a bit confused as to what to get.
i basically want an engine where i will be very competive in.
which of the v12's would be a high end race engine?
put it this way, what would be the ws7 equivalent of a v12? (i love my ws7)
p.s i know a 5 port is not race legal, does anyone know if a modified 3port engine is race legal?

Depends a little under which rules you are running...
In your case you can either choose for the 01700-000430 or the 01700-000425 which is the modified version.
Every 3-port engine can be used in racing, modified or non modified.
