How long does that initial tight pinch in the V12 last?Ive got over a half a gallon through it and the tight pinch is gone already. Is this normal?

Some engines loose their pinch sooner then the others, what is more important is that the engine works as you would like it to work.

Yes, this is correct, however if you feel no more pinch then it will be more difficult to know what is the situation of the piston/sleeve without taking the engine apart.

Rody, hello again. i do have a question. i will say i did a good search so i would not waste your time, and if i missed it i am sorry. i broke my x12 in like the instructions say around 8-9 tanks running the truck. After the run in i still have alot of pinch, yet it starts with merely a bump and runs great with low temps, (i could run the truck at 160 degress f, and would not go dead.) so does the pinch need to be gone before i go to race mode, or can the pinch still be there and go to race mode. like i said i did everything per instructions. thanks

The pinch will be there when the engine is cold, when the engine is on running temperature, the pinch will be gone.
So in your case no need to wait untill the pinch is gone, use the engine as you like.

thanks Rody, i leaned it today for race conditions and it runs like a dream. what you said cleared alot up for me, i checked when it was warm and no pinch i thought something was wrong, and when it cooled there was the pinch. so thanks again.
