I have a x12 that runs great, and is very powerful. The other day I was making some adjustments to the throttle linkage and I noticed some small bubbles coming out from under the rubber boot that covers the slide in the carb. When I would pull the slide all the way out and push it back in it made a fssst sound and that's when I saw the bubbles coming out of the boot.
Again the motor runs great, but I wondered if that is normal? Should I pack some grease under the boot to help seal it, or should the boot be replaced, it seems to be in perfect condition?
Thanks for your help.

Yes, this is normal, we already made a small groove in the slide which is there to help the air to escape to the inside of the carburetor but this is not preventing completely the air from working in the rubber boot.
You could try to use a small ti-wrap to seal this but do not overtighten it.
