I really just wanted to thank you for a stunning engine. Over the easter weekend I raced in one of Australia's most hotly contested Championships and finished very well in the A final. The engine was one of the fastest on the straights and no-one got out of corners any faster. After many laps the engine still has nip, the main bearing has some play and will be replaced, a small price to pay for all that mumbo. The engine did not stall once during all heats and finals. One less thing to worry about and that's a very good thing, I could concentrate on the job at hand. The engine never got smelly even though I was running very high gearing and when this one finally expires it will be pollished and mounted. Thank you very much. Now for my question. With the removal of engine exhaust port hight restrictions can you tell me the optimal exhaust port duration? Is there a piston liner set IFMAR legal with greater than 4.5mm?
As for the main-bearing, we also noticed a little play in the main-bearings of the V12 engine and this is not really a problem as long the engine is working well for you, so no real need to replace this in my point of view.
As for the exhaust height, we have tried higher but found no real better performances so just leave it as it is and enjoy your engine.
