I just read through a few posts I found on this but most of them are inconclusive. I also found that my engine runs best with 2-2.5 turns out on the main needle. I still havent figured out the low speed and yes, mine is bogging off the line. I set it at 2 turns out from closed. I didnt have enought time to play with it yesterday. I`d like to see what other X12 5 ports owners are getting for needle settings. Post them if you got them. Next time I get to the track I would like to try some of your hands on experience suggestions.
I am running a Golden Horizon header and one of their Blaster high speed pipes. 20% Powermaster fuel with #5 non turbo plug. Head clearance is .5mm and the spraybar setting on the carb is 1 turn in from flush. Do not ask me to get help from my LHS. They are as useless to me for tuning help as my dog.

It will be very hard to give you an straight answer on what you are looking for since many things are influencing the needle settings of the carburetor so impossible to give you a fixed setting.
What do you mean by bogging off the line, does the engine hesitate and then takes off clean or is the engine simply going very slow off the line.
If the engine is hesitating then it is missing fuel an you need to richen up the idle-needle more. If it takes off very slow try to close more the idle-needle.

Rody. By bogging I mean that its chocking on an over rich mixture. Once it cleares it, it goes like hell!! BRAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA all the way to the top. Just my off idle and off the line was bogging.
I did some tuning today and found this: I could close the low speed needle and the motor would still idle. Idling rich and loading up. The low speed needle was obviously not able to cut the low speed mixture enough. It does not reach far enough into the spray bar. Its looks like I cured it by screwing in the spraybar (midspeed) 2 turns from flush with the housing. Now I can stall the engine at idle by closing my low speed. Its idling great and not loading up on the bench anymore. I cant wait to try it again. Flush or 1 turn from flush on the spray bar was not enough for my carb to be able to take advantage of the low speed needle adjustments. Hope this helps others that come across this.

I have never run into this problem..., if the spraybar is flush to the outside and you close completely the idle needle, then the engine should stall after a while since not enough fuel is coming into the engine anymore during idle.
If your problem is solved in this way, I am happy of course but still find this strange.
