went to my local hobby store today and i told them that i wanted to put the 5 port in my TC3 and they told me not to because they said that it is very finicky and that i would have nothing but problems with it. they also said that the Nova Mega 12 is faster, i think there full of something but would like to hear what some of you think that have experienced the 5 port against these other engines like the Mugen 12 and etc... is the 5 port RB faster than the Mugen 12. please let me know right away becuase i want to get a engine asap. thanks.

Richard I've had no problems with my X12 5 port at all it is not finnicky and runs extremely quick, I am currently running it in a dirt sprinter so it has taken a few tumbles here and there and I have had no problems.

Maybe your LHS does not have our X12 5-port in stock and so tries to sell you something else...
Anyway, we have been the first to introduce a 5-port .12 engine and other will surely follow. Since this engine cannot be used in the official competitions we have made it faster because we were already illegal.

Please advise us which local dealer informed you of this, as we would like to have a discussion with him about this false information...
Please feel free to send this via private e-mail to jim@sigmatrading.com if you do not want to share this information with the world...
For the record, the 5 port engine is substantially faster than the 3-port engine, and we have been very surprised so far in that many of our dealers have reported that this engine is less difficult to tune and maintain than the 3-port engines...
