When I put my glow plug starter on, it wont clamp on all the way so I cant twist it to lock on. This is my first gas car so I am affraid to touch anything really. Can I loosen the glow plug and then put on the glow plug starter? Can I put a small washer down there so I can push the starter on a little further?

Does your engine use a turbo plug? Sometimes they are a bit harder to clamp the glo heater on. It is not necesary to clamp it on, you can just hold it on the plug and start the car.
