I'm possibly going to be building a light weight race truck and was wondering if the X12T(i think thats what it is called, your high end engine) would be a good off road engine? If it isn't, could you please let me know which small block would make a good off road engine? Thanks for your time.

Normally it should be no problem, if you are going to use the engine for off-road use, we suggest you use optional bigger cooling-head #1700-004

I use an X12T in a Losi XXXNT and it runs fine. The (RB) manifold protrudes slightly which means a bit of body trimming but nothing too noticable. We're just about to start the summer national season of racing in the UK which will be the first real test but I've done a couple of club meetings running with fairly rich settings and there's plenty of power!

Have you got a pic of the 1700-004 head handy? Im using an X12 in my HPI nitro MT and it tends to get a bit hot from time to time...
