Hi, I have the rb c12 engine #114. I was thinking about upgrading it to #113 by installing a slide carb. When I priced everything it would probably run me around 75 bucks. I was wondering if I do this would I notice 75 bucks worth of power?? I know the slide has better responce on low/midrange, but is that responce worth the 75 bucks?? Thanks

The carb. issue has more to do with your car than anything else. Can you get the throttle linkage to work with a slide carb?? If the barrel carb is working ok, don't change it.

I have a hpi rs4 2. i should have no problem installing the throttle linkage in my car for the slide carb.
I have no problems with my current rotary, just was looking for a way to gain more take off speed, but wanted to know if the 75 dollars for parts needed would actually be worth it.

Changing the carb will not improve the performance enough to make it worth it. If I need to do something like that I would be more inclined to go with a new motor. The factor would be to wait for the compression to wane.
Besides since you are bashing with it may want to try a higher content nitro for more power or look at your pipe for performance.
