I am running the 1700-104 in my T-MAXX. Is there a fuel prefered for performance and/or long life? I've been playing with the idea of moving into the Trinity 35%.

35% isnt that a little to much? I use Red Alert 20% with good results.

I have no idea if it's to much. Trinity runs 12% oil in their fuel. Besides, if any motor can take it, it's got to be this one.

If you use more then 30% nitro in your fuel the engines become more powerfull but also more critical in carburetor setting. If the engine then is set wrong and you overheat, the damage will be 2 times more quick and severe, so be carefull.
Also nitro is an aggresive composant, if the quality is not good, your engine(bearings) can rust and after will destroy itself. The more nitro there is in the fuel the more there is chance that this can happen.

zi_ping, I run 30% Byron fuel in my 1700-103 C12 in my T-Maxx. Have about 2 gallons through it and still runs as good as new. I went from 20% to 30% and there was a noticable difference in power, set the carb a little richer and the engine actually runs a little cooler.

Thank you both... I will have to give the Trinity 30% a try, and keep my eye on the heat.
