What's the advantage of the Big Block over the Small Block? or is it the other way around?

Its the overall weight and size of the engine itself which are different.

The V15 are small-block .15 engines and lighther compared to the X15 big-block engines and this can be an advantage in a chassis when you are racing.

Thanks for you answer. I understand the advantage of the engine physical size, but what about the Bore & Stroke differences between the two designs? I have both engines, I didn't realise the X-15 was a big block when I bought it, it would require a special mount for my RC10GT Dirt Oval Truck, which I don't mine making or buying. I see the X-15 has a longer rod, and it's a square bore. How does the power delivery compare? Which engine has more bottom end torque? and which engine would have more RPM's? which engine would have a smoother power band? Thanks in advance, John

To be honest we did not make a comparisment between the 2 engines but the output should be about equal in my opinion. The X15 should be a little more stronger because the crankcase is also more solid.
The X15 will have more torque and low end power, however the V15 will be smoother.
