I'm wondering what "ball park" settings are on this motor. I know all motors are different and I have read the FAQ on tuning and I'm planning on "trying" it for the first time it just scares me. This motor was bought used and it screams from mid to top but bogs bad on the bottom so I'm gonna have to start over on tuning.

I have a C6 & 928 I bought new, broke in and just tuned by my ear & performance not by the WOT to 80% method. They both scream on top, mid & bottom at 200ish temps. Everyone tells me temps are to low but I see smoke & they both rip and are on the edge of out of control. I'm just afraid of launching an expencive motor or over reving it & doing damage ...lol.

Anyhow the S7 , when I recieved it the needles are at 2 out HSN & 3 out on the low or idle needle. It seems as if the low end is rich making it bog then the excess fuel feeds the top end when needed. But leaning out the bottom & opening up the top only makes it worse and it takes longer into the mid range to clean out.

I got nothing to lose at this point so I guess it's a good time to try the WOT to 80% method [Eek!]

30% fuel
CP-02 plug
198 header - 2045 pipe

Yes, you have to play around a little to find the best settion, I suggest you read "How to set the Carburetor" in the FAQ section before you start playing with your settings.

As long as you do not overrev or overheat the engine then you should be O.K.
