My WS7x3 has broken the 4th fin from the top off the cooling head, the engine still runs fine but i want to get the broken fin out as its just spinning aro]und the others and will probabaly end up breaking another.
How can i get the fin out/off as i can't afford a new head

Cut it off but now the one under neath has broken so i will have to get a new head.
Rody - can you still buy the old WS7III engines anywhere or is the LG type the only ones available (i am in the UK)
I ran the S5 on the weekend but the engine kept going lean on the bottom at the end of the race. Richend the low by 1/4 turn but still kept losing power and engine came off at 280F. High is on 3 1/2 turns and low on 4 3/4. Fuel is 20% model technics.
I set the engine driving in the pits before the run and it seemed to rich on the low as it was loading up lots straight away and hestitaing before blowing loads of smoke before it would pull away. I was thinking of a different plug or taking a shim out. Any suggestions as i don't want to blow this one.

Actually we do not have the cooling-head of the WS7 in stock but you can use also the LG type cooling-head on this engine.
If the engine is loosing-power on the low-end rpm then it is probabaly too lean on the HSN.
I think you are too rich on the LSN since this causes the engine to load-up and you are probably too lean on the HSN which causes the engine to run hot and overheat and then you will loose power on the bottom-end.
I reset the HSN to 4.5 and the LSN to 5 and retuned it to 4 1/4 HSN and 4 3/4 on the low and now the engine has good top with temp @210 and the engine idle stays up for about 6-7 seconds before droping to a low idle and the pick up is perfect
