I know there are many variables so there is no definate answer...but for a 1/8 buggy, running a 18T clutch (middle of the ratios) and a 086 pipe, I have acheived speeds with the 18T of around 55-57 MPH and this would equate to around 37-38K.
For the C4, is this an average RPM, low or high? Just curious as I know they have been reported to run near 40K. Not trying to run wide open all the time but just trying to figure out how high these engines can run under load without adding too much internal stress.
I'm trying to adjust the high needle for this and while it runs strong now, i'm looking to keep it from running too lean.

Thanks...yes I do run it a bit rich. Make a few speed runs without leaning out then I open the high about 1/8, cuts the speed slightly but it's fast enough.
